Oh Tulum!

Tulum, Mexico is the trip I never knew I needed. Our motto for the week was, "Might

as well!" And we did just that for 6 days.

Nah, what was I thinking! I'm an introvert about to take a trip with 9 other women for almost a week, two of them are my sisters and chile, no one plucks your nerves like your sisters.

I LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT!

Come with me to Quintana Roo - Tulum, Mexico.

Peace & Style: See that chair behind me, I fell asleep in it at 4am and woke up to the birds singing to me. #ohtulum

Tulum is one of the most prized jewels of the Mexican Caribbean. In Tulum, nature is present in all its glory through its lagoons, cenotes (deep natural wells or sinkholes), and beachfront Mayan sites.

DAY 1

Arrival & Pool Party

We touched down in Cancun, it was beautiful, palm trees dancing and the sun shining. "Necesitas un taxi?" I was taking it all in! "Necesitas un taxi?", the man said again. I was so busy looking around, I didn't realize he was speaking to me. "No, señor, gracias., I said.

We (the New Orleans krewe) were still waiting on the Florida crew to arrive, so we had a Margarita at a quaint outdoor restaurant connected to the airport.

Once the Florida crew arrived we found our van and made the hour and a half drive to Tulum. The drive was worth it! We stayed at a beautiful resort named Mesa Maya II.

That night we celebrated the bride with a Final Fiesta Pool Party! Tacos and dancing by the pool until 4am! It was in that moment that I knew this was everything I needed. I looked around and took a deep breath, both of my sisters were living their best life, I had met new amazing people and their was nothing that needed my attention. I was uninhibited and I loved it!

DAY 2

Yacht & Blackhause In Tulum

I would definitely say this trip, I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried a lot of things I've never tried before. And not just because I was close to getting hit by a boat the first time I kayaked but I have never been a fan of boats. But when my sister said she was charting a yacht for us, I knew I couldn't miss this. So I kept up with our motto for the week, might as well! I was living my best yacht life until about the last 45mins, motion sickness led me to the cabin to lay down. Still loved it!

Blackhause

Later that night we found ourselves at Mistico Shisha located right in Quintana Roo - Tulum. The Blackhause hosted a Friday night Jungle Party. This is one of those moments where you just had to be there. We had so much fun at Blackhause. The host and DJ's energy was crazy! Again, we danced until 4am. The night air was warm and I was invigorated with the vibe.

DAY 3

Taboo Beach Club

Taboo is a must do! Reviews say that their food wasn't that great. NOT SO! The food was ah-mazing. It was the freshest food I'd ever had at a restaurant. Taboo is a beach club and restaurant that has embraced Mediterranean food as a lifestyle.

Taboo was one of my favorite stops on this trip, the beach is beautiful and most importantly I ate like a Queen.

Suggestions: The Snapper, Sushi and the Lamb Burger.

DAY 4

ATV, Zipline & Cenote & Brittany's Bridal Shower
This was my favorite day!

You see me right! I was ATV'ing through that jungle like a pro. Sometimes I forget how much I love adventure. Thats what I got on day four...my adrenaline and my nerves were pumping before I went zip lining hundreds of feet above the jungle. But if I had one word to describe it, I would say peaceful. Gliding through the jungle above everything was everything! ATVing through the authentic Mexican Caribbean, flying over the Mayan jungle and swimming through the pristine waters of the Sacred Mayan Cenotes...it's another must do!

This was my first time ATVing and now I want my own ATV.

The Sacred Mayan Cenote

We made it!

I'll always find somewhere to take me a quick nap.

Brittany's Bridal Shower

This is my favorite pic of us from her Bridal Shower because I really love being her big sister. I don’t know what we were cracking up about!

DAY 5

Bye Tulum

Tulum owes me nothing, this was by far the best vacation I've ever taken. I enjoyed every moment of it. There was so much of our trip that I couldn't fit in this read. Lounging around the pool, relaxing on the balcony, meeting the nice locals and running through the jungle are just a few. Where to next...Bali! I’ve gotten so many DM’s and text about joining us on our next adventure…stay tuned for more info!
